A Behavioural Approach to Facilitation Techniques in Your Classroom

This workshop aims to give you practical guidance on how to go about facilitating a learner with a behavioural or developmental disorder in a mainstream classroom setting. It will introduce you to the techniques to use to facilitate learning and will demonstrate through role play and hypothetical scenarios how to put those techniques into practice.
This is a practical workshop in that it is designed to be hands on. This requires complete audience participation and cooperation. Each one of you is also expected to draw on your own experiences, on your own knowledge of the children you work with and to contribute this to the workshop.
It is a guide, only in that it is not exhaustive. More detailed explanations of the techniques involved should take a place with the behaviour analyst supervising the learner’s program
